Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Invest with Prudie (investwithprudie.com), operated by Grace Ene as an independent sole proprietor, collects and handles your information. Privacy is a first principle of how the product is designed, and this policy is written to be read, not hidden.
Information we collect
The categories below, together with the purpose given for each and the retention and sale/share details later in this policy, serve as our notice at collection under the CCPA: we collect only what is described here, for the purpose described here, and we do not sell or share any of it.
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your first name, email address, and a password, along with your learning progress such as XP, streak, and completed lessons. This information is stored securely with our database provider so that you can sign in and pick up where you left off across devices. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form.
Payment information. When you purchase premium content, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We retain limited transaction records, such as the date, amount, and product purchased, to provide receipts and support.
Analytics. With your consent, we collect anonymized usage analytics through Google Analytics 4, including pages visited, lesson-completion events, and general interaction patterns. This data is used in aggregate to improve the product and does not identify you personally. We do not sell, rent, or monetize it.
Email. We use Resend to send account-related email such as verification links, password resets, and receipts. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
Guest and planning-tool data. If you use the site without creating an account, your progress is stored only in your browser's local storage. Figures you enter into the planning tools, such as income and account balances, are used to generate your outputs within your browser and are not published or attached to a public profile.
Cookies and your consent
By default, analytics and advertising storage are set to "denied" until you make a choice. When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies, and Google Analytics only sets cookies after you consent. You can change your choice at any time using the "Privacy Choices" link in the footer. Beyond what is necessary for the learning experience and your consented analytics, we do not set additional tracking cookies.
How we use your information
We use the information above to provide and personalize the service, save and sync your progress, process purchases, send you account-related email, secure your account, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we rely on to operate, and only as needed to run the service: Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts and data storage), Resend (email), Google Analytics (analytics), Netlify (hosting), and Cloudflare (domain and email routing). Each processes data under its own privacy commitments. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), database access rules that ensure an account can only reach its own data, and access controls on our systems. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.
Data retention and your choices
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated information at any time by emailing privacy@investwithprudie.com.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of sources and third parties involved; to request access to or deletion of your personal information; to request correction of inaccurate information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any); and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Invest with Prudie does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and has not done so in the past 12 months, so there is no sale or share to opt out of. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out mechanism first, including honoring the Global Privacy Control browser signal.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@investwithprudie.com. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of that authorization. We verify requests using the information tied to your account or the email you contact us from, and we respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response with your reasons. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
European and UK privacy rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information under one of these legal bases: to perform our contract with you, such as providing your account and its features; with your consent, for analytics and marketing cookies; or where we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place. Some of our service providers, including Supabase and Stripe, may process data on servers located outside the EEA/UK; where that happens, we rely on those providers' own safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@investwithprudie.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Children's privacy
Invest with Prudie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date at the top of this page when we do, and continued use of Invest with Prudie after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
